Oblivion Gate

This has to be one of the coolest things I’ve seen made from a fictional video game world, and someone needs to make this bad boy into a reality for the rest of us video game uber–nerds.

Reddit user notadoctoreither took every single book you can read on your lengthy journey through The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, printed them all out, and compiled them into one massive tome of Elder Scrolls lore. And the result is exquisite. The book is perfect in every way””in look, in font, and in overall presentation. It’s something that every fan of the games would kill to own, and for that very reason, I’m both depressed at my inability to be so crafty and jealous of this man’s talents!

You can see some images of the book by clicking on over to the other side now!

Skyrim Banner

The voice cast for Bethesda Softworks’ upcoming mega–game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, has been officially announced, and it includes some very interesting names.

The first and already known actor is of course Max von Sydow, who gave us an early sample of his work in the game’s announcement trailer back in December. Sydow is an Oscar–nominated actor (for Pelle the Conqueror) who’s many films have included The Exorcist, Minority Report, Shutter Island, Robin Hood, and of course, Ghostbusters II as the voice of Vigo!

The words many gamers have been begging to hear since 2006 are finally here: the next chapter in The Elder Scrolls series is finally coming!

Last night at Spike TV‘s Video Game Awards, Bethesda Softworks’ Todd Howard made an appearance to announce the game that the studio has been working on in secrecy for quite a while now. It was a sure bet that the game would either be a follow-up to ’06’s The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, or a brand new original title. And though an original game from Bethesda would be exciting, nothing could top the confirmation of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Not only was Skyrim finally confirmed after four years of waiting, but a brief preview trailer complete with the game’s release date was also shown, making up for all the impatient waiting we’ve been doing. Thankfully, the release date isn’t all that far away either, meaning we can officially flip out about this game now!

Be sure to click on over to the other side to watch the preview trailer for The Elder Scrolls V now!
