Another classic is returning to theaters through Fathom Events. This time it’s The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth director Jim Henson‘s 1982 puppet fantasy feature. The movie is set to return to theaters for a limited run early next year, with screenings on two different days available. | Watch: Teaser For Netflix’s ‘The Dark Crystal’ Prequel ‘Age Of Resistance’
We’ve been hearing about a sequel to Jim Henson‘s The Dark Crystal for a while now, but nothing has ever come of it. But today, out of left field, Netflix has released a teaser trailer for a new prequel series titled The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance…and yes, it has puppets. The teaser begins with Henson himself talking about the original with some shots of concept art. That’s followed by some peeks at the work they’re currently doing over at Henson’s Creature Shop. | Jamie Foxx In Talks For R-Rated Jim Henson Co. Puppet Movie ‘The Happytime Murders’
Ray, Collateral, and Django Unchained star Jamie Foxx has entered into negotiations to star in The Happytime Murders, an R-rated dark comedy puppet noir movie from The Jim Henson Company and STX Entertainment. The movie, which has been in development for the better part of a decade now, will follow a pair of detectives attempting to solve the mysterious murders of the puppet stars of a popular TV show. It will be directed by Brian Henson, the chairman of The Jim Henson Co. and son of the legendary Jim Henson himself. You can read a better description of the movie below.
