I just want to state for the record that on June 9, 2007, in an entry about the remake of “I Am Legend,” I said:
Being a New Yorker, I tend to NOT want to see movies where famous NY landmarks are destroyed (for obvious reasons). It was traumatizing enough when I was a kid to see the beached head of the Statue of Liberty in Planet of the Apes, I definitely don’t want to see any modern-day destruction of my city.
Ahem …
My childhood trauma has returned.
