When talking about the upcoming Star WarsBlu-ray Editions coming out in September, one has to be a bit concerned. Sure, director George Lucas has all the right in the world to go in and change what he sees fit, but to say that he’s ruffled some fans’ feathers is to put it shockingly light.
So what exactly will be changed with this new release? Well, according to a story from The Digital Bits, things will be changed, but for the better.
First off, the story mentions that the new release will include a new, all digital Yoda, during Episode One. I know that sounds awful, but there were a lot of moments during that first film where the puppet Yoda looked, for lack of a better term, odd, so it should look solid. Toss in some new work on effects some other glitches (like puppeteer’s arms being visible), and an upgrade in the film’s music track, and you have what sounds like a killer upgrade.
