Two of cinema’s fasting rising stars, Alexander Skarsgard and Brit Marling, are apparently set to bring their white hot buzz together for a brand new flick.

THR is reporting that the former, who stars in the HBO series True Blood, has signed on to join the upcoming thriller, The East, which would find Marling, who co-wrote the film, teaming up with her Sound Of My Voice collaborator once again, Zal Batmanglij.

The film will follow “a female agent who infiltrates an eco-terrorist group.”

Personally, I think, having seen Skarsgard in his best turn, the upcoming Lars Von Trier film, Melancholia, he’s a really immense talent, as is Marling. This film sounds really great, and hopefully it can live up to the hype, because it has the makings of something really special.
