- There’s talk that Lindsay Lohan is being considered to star in a live-action SAILOR MOON movie. Fox, which has supposedly attained the rights to the Japanese anime, also wants to enlist the talents of writer/director Joss Whedon. Sounds like wishful thinking to us. We’ll keep you posted.
- Filming started today on the science-fiction action thriller NEXT, starring Nicolas Cage, Julianne Moore, and Jessica Biel. NEXT is based on the Philip K. Dick story THE GOLDEN MAN and is scheduled for release in 2007.
- During David Blaine‘s 2-hour ABC special DROWNED ALIVE, the magician will be encased in a large aquarium for seven days during which he’ll attempt to break the record for holding one’s breath underwater (the record is set at 8 min. 58 secs.). The special airs on May 8.
- Steve Vai will apply some of his signature blistering guitar licks to the upcoming HALO 2: ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK VOLUME TWO. [via Scifi.com]
- Elvira is shopping around a reality series that will search for a new Mistress of the Dark.
- Darren Aronofsky and Eric Watson are producing THE HUNT, a horror flick about the world’s greatest hunter tracking down the Devil.
- Eddie Griffin, Thandie Newton, and Cuba Gooding Junior are joining Eddie Murphy in NORBIT. Murphy stars as a meek guy who’s marrying a beast of a woman, also played by Murphy.
