Lucas Skywalker Ranch 2004 Chardonnay
Francis Ford Coppola‘s winery released this week the 2004 Lucas Skywalker Ranch chardonnay titled “Viandante del Cielo,” which loosely translated from Italian means “walker of the sky.”
The grapes for the wine were sourced from a small vineyard on Star Wars creator George Lucas‘s northern California Skywalker Ranch.
The wine, which is available at the winery’s website’s shop for a limited time, is sold by the bottle for $32; the 2003 Lucas Chardonnay is also available as a two-bottle set in a wooden collector’s gift box.
George Lucas 2007 Toy Industry Hall of Fame Inductee
In other Lucas news, the filmmaker will be the 2007 Toy Industry Hall of Fame inductee for his role in revolutionizing the toy industry with the release of Star Wars in 1977. The film inspired toymaker Kenner to create the 3 3/4-inch action figure scale, which is still in use today. Star Wars toys and games are one of the best-selling toy lines in the industry’s history.
