- The new trailer for SPIDER-MAN 3 gets its own sneak preview on Thursday, Nov. 9 on MTV when it premieres during the cable network’s Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Duel ; the trailer debuts in theaters on November 17 with CASINO ROYALE. [Link]
- Disney has set a release dates for three upcoming films: THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: PRINCE CASPIAN, the sequel to THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE, on May 16, 2008; NATIONAL TREASURE 2, starring Nicolas Cage on a quest to find out what’s on the 18 pages missing from John Wilkes Booth’s diary on December 21, 2007; and the Pixar animated film WALL-E on June 27, 2008. - Ewan McGregor to star in FRANKLYN, a futuristic British movie by first-time writer-director Gerald McMorrow.
- Andrew Niccol will direct DALI & I: THE SURREAL STORY, based on Stan Lauryssens‘ autobiographical book about Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dali. [Link]
- Tom Cruise and his producing partner, Paula Wagner, have been put in charge of the revived United Artists film studio. The producing duo were fired after 14 years from Paramount Pictures this August. At United Artists, which is owned by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. (MGM), Wagner will serve as chief executive; Cruise will star in and produce UA films, but will also be allowed to star in films from other studios.
