| Bytes: Hulk Smashes Theaters in ’08 |
- THE INCREDIBLE HULK, Marvel Entertainment’s follow-up to 2003’s THE HULK, will hit theaters June 28, 2008, after being initially slated to have a direct-to-DVD release. That’s only a few weeks after Marvel’s other big superhero movie, IRON MAN, hits theaters on May 2. [Link]
- Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson are set to star in BLACK WATER TRANSIT, based on the Carsten Stroud novel and with a script by Doug Richardson. [Link]
- Katee Sackhoff, who plays ace fighter pilot Starbuck on the Sci Fi Channel’s BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, has signed on to star with Nathan Fillion (SERENITY) in the upcoming supernatural horror sequel WHITE NOISE 2: THE LIGHT. [Link]
- Mischa Barton (THE O.C.) will star in Simon Fellows’ MALICE IN SUNDERLAND, a contemporary take on the Lewis Carroll classic ALICE IN WONDERLAND, with a script by Jayson Rothwell. [Link]
- Ali Larter of the NBC series HEROES has joined Milla Jovovich in RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION, the third film installment based on the Capcom video-game franchise. [Link]
- Natassia Malthe will star in Uwe Boll’s BLOODRAYNE 2, which will be set in the Wild West. [Link]
- Wesley Snipes has reached a settlement with the IRS regarding tax-fraud charges that will keep the BLADE star out of jail and allow him to continue filming the horror-western GALLOWWALKER in Namibia. In exchange, Snipes will surrender to authorities once he returns to the United States in December and begin a payment plan for the millions of dollars he owes in back taxes. [Link]
- Devil’s Due Publishing has optioned film, television, and merchandising rights for DEMONWARS, the fantasy novel series by R.A. Salvatore. [Link]
