A video game based on the SCI FI Channel series BATTLESTAR GALACTICA will be available this Fall on Xbox Live Arcade and Windows PC.

Gamer pics and themepacks from the show are available now for download on Xbox Live Marketplace.

The game, which will feature both single- and multi-player modes, will allow the player to take part in intense space battles as a pilot for either the humans or Cylon forces. Legendary ships from the television show will be featured as well as missions based on favorite episodes.

“NBC Universal is working closely with us so that players will be able immerse themselves in the Battlestar Galactica universe and re-live their favorite missions from the TV series,” said Ed Zobrist, president of Sierra Online, the division of Vivendi Games responsible for the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA game’s creation.

The SCI FI Channel’s BATTLESTAR GALACTICA dramatic series centers around the last human survivors of a devastating nuclear attack launched against them by the Cylons, a race of robots that evolved into superior human-like beings. The show, which airs Sundays at 10pm, features space battles, political intrigue, and love triangles as the humans travel space in search of a new home while evading their Cylon pursuers.
