The Matrix star lends his voice to the surfing herald in the Fantastic Four sequel.

Laurence Fishburne will voice the role of The Silver Surfer in the upcoming Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer movie, according to Variety.

Rumors were flying this earlier this week that Fishburne (Matrix) would supply the voice of Galactus, but it turns out that the eater of worlds might appear in the film as nothing more than a storm cloud.

While Fishurne will provide the voice of the surfing herald of Galactus, it’s actor Doug Jones (Hellboy) who will be seen on-screen against Spectral Motion visual and practical effects.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer arrives in theaters June 15.
