Warner Premiere to spin-off direct-to-DVD sequels.
Warner Premiere, the division of Warner Bros. Pictures dedicated to developing direct-to-DVD movies, announced some of their upcoming sequel projects:
• Beetlejuice
• Return to House on Haunted Hill
• Twisted Fortune
• A Dennis the Menace Christmas
• Under Siege
• Space Jam
• Dukes of Hazzard
• Training Day
• Dark Castle
Jeff Robinov, President, Production, Warner Bros. Pictures said that the DVD sequels “will have no creative constraints on them and should not be thought of as low-budget or second-rate in any way.”
Earlier this year, IESB revealed Premiere’s plans for a sequel to the 1987 vampire flick The Lost Boys involving surfing vampires in Southern California. (Various sources list the movie title as The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe.)
As previously reported, the direct-to-DVD spin-off Get Smarter: Bruce & Lloyd Out of Control will be in stores just 10 days after its main feature film Get Smart debuts in theaters.
Diane Nelson, President, Warner Premiere, said:
“Warner Premiere can provide creative opportunities “” from exploring and developing back stories and lesser characters in existing properties to creating original titles that work better in the new media “” for writers, producers, directors and talent that may not available to them within the established studio system.”

My darkest day has finally come. Every time I see a really bad sequel come out I think to myself, “Well, self, at least they haven’t screwed with the Lost Boys.”
For the love all that is unholy, why do you have to do this? Why can’t these damn fools ever leave well enough alone. I think I’d rather be forced to watch Highlander 2 than an ever acknowledge a Lost Boys sequel.
fucktards. every single one of them.

@Jason: A sequel doesn’t just mean a second movie. Yes, there was an “Under Siege 2”. The direct-to-DVD sequel referenced will be the third film installment.
