IDW will publish a 4-issue comic book adaptation in October of the upcoming Robert Zemeckis-directed film Beowulf.

Writer Chris Ryall, artist Gabriel Rodriguez, and colorist Jay Fotos — the creative team behind Clive Barker’s The Great and Secret Show — will adapt the screenplay written by Neil Gaiman and Roger Avary.

One 32-page issue will be released each week in October leading up to the film’s theatrical release on November 16, 2007. Attendees at San Diego Comicon later this month will be able to obtain an exclusive 8-page promo comic book previewing the miniseries. Visit IDW Publishing to view a one-page preview.
