The official Indiana Jones Web site has posted the first official poster for the fourth film installment of the franchise, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Also, USA Today spoke with the movie’s co-producer Frank Marshall, who confirmed some rumors and story details about a quest for South American relics with supernatural powers.
In Crystal Skull, Indy will face operatives from the Soviet Union, including Cate Blanchett as the seductive Agent Spalko; and Ray Winstone, as an unethical rival archaeologist.
The article confirms that the new movie will take place during the height of the Cold War in 1957, which will age the character of Indiana Jones in real time “” 19 years. After leading a quiet life in that time as a teacher, Indy — Harrison Ford returning to the role — is thrust back into danger that will take him to New Mexico, Connecticut, Mexico City, and the jungles of Peru.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull hits theaters May 22, 2008.
