Author Neil Gaiman‘s New York Times best-selling novel American Gods will be available for free online all this month at the HarperCollins official site.
Head over to HarperCollins and read it HERE! (Seriously, it’s an awesome book, get on it!)
In honor of the 7th birthday of Gaiman’s blog last month, the author asked readers to vote for which of his books should be selected. Gaiman’s 2003 best-seller American Gods won with 28 percent of the votes (I voted for this one, too!).
See below for the official description of the novel.
AMERICAN GODS
Released from prison, Shadow finds his world turned upside down. His wife has been killed; a mysterious stranger offers him a job. But Mr. Wednesday, who knows more about Shadow than is possible, warns that a storm is coming — a battle for the very soul of America . . . and they are in its direct path.
One of the most talked-about books of the new millennium, American Gods is a kaleidoscopic journey deep into myth and across an American landscape at once eerily familiar and utterly alien. It is, quite simply, a contemporary masterpiece.
That is one of my favorite books of all time.
