For those of you who don’t know Joss Whedon, I actually pity you. You have missed out on one of this generation’s greatest entertainment talents. He was the man behind Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and its spin-off Angel. He created the greatest sci-fi TV show ever made, Firefly, which was axed by an ill-informed Fox Studios, but spawned the movie Serenity. He is also responsible for one of the greatest X-Men stories told within the last several decades, if not of all time.

And even if you did know that, you might be excused for not knowing that he has a penchant for the musical (though, if you followed Buffy, you’d see this coming).

Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog is Whedon’s next big project, a three-part internet series “¦ and it’s a musical! Watch the teaser trailer here below.

Starring Neil Patrick Harris as Dr. Horrible, a hapless super villain trying to impress Penny, played by Felicia Day, and fighting off his arch nemesis Captain Hammer, played by Nathan Fillion, this is set to be one of Whedon’s greatest projects.
