Ever since I was a child, I loved getting stuff in the mail, whether it was my latest issue of the official Star Wars Fan Club newsletter Bantha Tracks or a letter from a friend away at Summer Camp.
Now that I run a fairly successful entertainment website, boxes of DVDs, CDs, and comic books come in the mail every day — my dream come true! But every so often, something pleasantly unexpected arrives.
A few weeks ago, I received a small box and inside it was a snowglobe from Disney! It was one of those snowglobes that you can insert a picture into the center, and inside this one was an invite to a cocktail party hosted by Disney.
I think this is a cool little item all on its own, but if you saw the numerous amounts of Disney-themed snowglobes in my home, you’d understand just how much this means to me.
Unfortunately, I can’t attend the function (it’s the same day as my Hellboy II screening), but luckily, the Geeks of Doom official cocktail party correspondent, The Senator, will be on hand to cover the event for us. (She’s much more “presentable” than me anyhow.)
But I get to keep the snowglobe!
I always loved getting Bantha Tracks too!!
