Animated Marvel Trailers + SDCC 08 Screening

MajorJJH   |

For the lucky ones of you who happen to live in the U.S., and are geeky enough to get yourself on a plane to San Diego Comic Con later this month, you’ll get the chance to witness preview screenings of Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow and Hulk Vs. .

Marvel

That’s right, Marvel’s next pair of animated feature films will be screening at San Diego Comic Con for those lucky few who manage to get seating. For Next Avengers, it’ll be the only chance to see the film before its September 2, 2008 release on both DVD and Blu-Ray. For Hulk Vs., you’ll have to wait until January of 2009 to see the whole film on DVD, but for now, direct from Marvel, check out the trailers below.

Not surprisingly, Marvel is going all out to promote their two latest films, especially with San Diego Comic Con just around the bend. Not only will you be able to see the animated films, but you’ll be able to sit in on two panels. Next Avengers will sit you down with the film’s Supervising Producer Craig Kyle, Producer/Supervising Director Gary Hartle, Writer Christopher Yost, and some of the voice talent from the film’ and Hulk Vs. with “˜Supervising Producer/Co-Writer Craig Kyle, Producer/Supervising Director Frank Paur, Co-Writer Christopher Yost, and others.

Lionsgate, who are producing Next Avengers in tandem with Marvel as normal, are also getting on the publicity bandwagon, sending out this summary.

Whenever the forces of evil threatened mankind, Earth’s mightiest heroes, the Avengers, were there to stop them – until they made the ultimate sacrifice in their final fight with the indestructible robot, Ultron. But all was not lost for Tony Stark (Iron Man) kept the children of the Avengers safe and raised them to become the teenage heroes of tomorrow but it will take more than five teens to destroy the machine that defeated their parents. If these young heroes have any hope of winning, they must find the missing Hulk and come together as — the Next Avengers!

Either way, Marvel are definitely making up ground in the animated movies war they’ve been fighting with DC. Who knows, in time, Marvel might take the animated crown as they have taken the live-action crown.

  1. We like a lot of kids animation because it is filled with good guys and bad guys and you can sit back and enjoy the fun. However we had a hard time doing that in this case.

We felt as though they crushed on the originals for no other reason than to launch these juvenile wanna-bes.

Anyway, here is our take on it with lots of pics and a few bits if wit if you are interested:
