Bryan Singer Still A ‘Man Of Steel’?
space
The Movie God   |  @   |

SupermanRecently, word was flying around that there maybe might have sorta possibly been an offer to The Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier for the job to direct the big budget Superman Returns sequel, Superman: Man of Steel. With these rumors, everyone wondered if it was true that the job had been offered to Leterrier as well as if the goal was to replace Bryan Singer.

Almost immediately after these rumors surfaced, Leterrier told AICN:

What I meant was that I had been told about a possible reinvention of Superman. Not that I was offered the job.

So that was seemingly shut down pretty quickly, which is apparently good news; Leterrier pissed everyone off with no Captain America sightings in The Incredible Hulk. Note: Don’t promise larger-than-life superhero cameos while trying to sell other larger-than-life superheroes.

Parallel to this, Superman Homepage has what appears to be a casting call from OMEL Courtesy Casting, which was found on Cragslist. It reads:

Plot Summary: A sequel to the summer 2006 action-adventure. Bryan Singer returns to direct with Brandon Routh again playing Clark Kent/Superman.

Stand-Ins, Extras needed

So, is this place legit? Does this re-affirm Bryan Singer as the man all along? Will the madness ever end?

I have no idea. Maybe. And no, never.

  1. I have been hearing so many rumors regarding the next Superman film.
Singer is very passionate about Superman. Give him him another shot.

  2. I’m definitely not showing up for another round of Baby Mama Drama Supes and his arch foe the Realtor and I get the feeling I’m not alone in that. I might show up for the reboot, depending on the new director and Superman actor.

  3. What is wrong with all you people, Bryan did a tremendous job with the movie. All the hype for the movie was lived up to and there was plenty of action, Superman almost died. The son of superman was an awesome idea and Lex Luther can still be explored. The only people who didn’t like Superman Returns were the fanboys that think they have the exclusive rights to how the Superman stories are told. Quit your gripping and accept that Brandon was outstanding and Bryan did a good job as well. The second one will only be better.

  4. I really enjoyed the first one and I am looking forward to the sequel.
