Tim Blake Nelson spoke to MTV recently about sequels to this summer’s The Incredible Hulk, his part as the villain The Leader, and what the Hulk himself Edward Norton‘s future may hold.
Nelson is currently directing a movie called Leaves of Grass, which stars Norton, so he says that they’ve discussed it a little, but he’s kind of just a spectator who’s excited to come back and hoping that Edward Norton will be joining him for the party.
He explains:
Well, I’m signed on to do “˜Hulk 2′ and “˜3′ whether Edward’s there or not, so it’s not even up to me. When I agreed to do “˜Hulk,’ I signed off for two sequels, so it’s a moot question. I certainly hope Edward is on the sequel “” but that’s up to Marvel and Edward.
At this point I’m thinking most people aren’t too worried here. Both Hulk movies weren’t praised very highly so most probably just don’t care who’s playing Hulk, so long as he looks bad ass in all his big, green, CGI glory. All rivers of course lead to the eventually collision of superhero faces in The Avengers, so people may just look past both 2 and 3, who knows!
