Release Date: November 15, 2019 There is nothing more shocking and revealing than the truth. Scott Z. Burn‘s The Report is based on the true story of Daniel Jones’ investigation into the infamous Torture Report that followed after the September 11 attacks. The film takes a deep dive to uncover the heinous torture crimes committed by the CIA, and how they and the White House tried to cover it all up. While it is a slow and tedious political thriller, it is something that is filled with fast-paced dialogue, outstanding performances from Adam Driver and Annette Benning, and shocking revelations that will surely evoke anger and frustration. Above all, The Report highlights the absolute necessity for investigative reporting. My full review here below.

| ‘Just Mercy’ Trailer: Michael B. Jordan and Brie Larson Star In Destin Daniel Cretton Legal Drama
Destin Daniel Cretton isn’t quite the household name as of yet, but he’s been making the indie rounds with some critical darlings like Short Term 12 and The Glass House. And soon, he’ll be behind the camera for Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. But before he can start shooting that he has a legal drama called Just Mercy, and Warner Bros. has dropped the first trailer. Based on a true story, the film stars Michael B. Jordan as Bryan Stevenson, who is fighting for justice for a criminal (Jamie Foxx) on death row. The film also stars Brie Larson as Eva Ansley, an advocate who believes in Stevenson’s cause to defend the wrongly condemned. Check out the trailer below.

| SDCC 2019: Comic-Con Trailer For HBO’s ‘Watchmen’ Series Doesn’t Do Lollipops and Rainbows
HBO has just unveiled a new trailer for Damon Lindelof‘s vision for a Watchmen series. You can find the first trailer here as well, if you missed it. The series is based on the Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons comic of the same name. | ‘Angel Has Fallen’: Official Trailer For ‘Olympus Has Fallen’ and ‘London Has Fallen’ Sequel Released
Lionsgate Movies has released an official trailer for Angel Has Fallen, a sequel to 2013’s Olympus Has Fallen and 2016’s London Has Fallen. The trilogy-maker once again stars Gerard Butler as Mike Banning and Morgan Freeman as President Allan Trumbull, and follows Banning being framed for an assassination attempt. Jada Pinkett Smith, Lance Reddick, Tim Blake Nelson, Piper Perabo, Nick Nolte, and Danny Huston also star in the movie.
