From Damon Lindelof (Lost, The Leftovers), the series will take Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons‘ iconic comic book series and weave in timely social issues that affect us today. | SDCC 2019: Comic-Con Trailer For HBO’s ‘Watchmen’ Series Doesn’t Do Lollipops and Rainbows
HBO has just unveiled a new trailer for Damon Lindelof‘s vision for a Watchmen series. You can find the first trailer here as well, if you missed it. The series is based on the Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons comic of the same name. But unlike a traditional adaptation, the series will take a look at the world created as a result of Adrian Veidt’s (Jeremy Irons) plans. Check out the full trailer below.

| HBO’s ‘Watchmen’ Trailer: Counting Down To The End Of The World
Damon Lindelof‘s vision of Watchmen, which will appear on HBO, will not be like the traditional comic book adaptations we are accustomed to seeing. Instead, the series will have a modern day spin on the Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons comic, which focused on themes of time, patriotism, lies and deceit, and modernization. So while it won’t be a direct adaptation, it looks like some of those themes will carry over into the show, which we still know very little about. HBO has released a new trailer that should give us a slight idea of what to expect. Check it out below.
