J.K. Rowling‘s The Tales of Beedle the Bard is on sale today!
Tales is a supplement to the Harry Potter series and contains five fairy tale stories referred to in the final book of the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Only one of the wizarding stories — “The Tale of the Three Brothers” — was recounted in Deathly Hallows; the others are now available to the public for the first time.
There are two versions of Tales: the Standard hardcover for $7.14 and the limited-edition Collector’s version, which is being sold exclusively through Amazon for $100. For the later, a maximum of 100,000 will be sold.
Net proceeds from both editions will go to the Children’s High Level Group charity.
So, who didn’t already pre-order their copy? I totally did back in August when pre-order was offered (I wrote all about both editions here. So I now await my delivery of the Collector’s Edition. I’m wondering if I should order the standard hardcover now too; I guess I’ll figure it out after I’ve thoroughly investigated the Collector’s Edition.
