Marvel has released a couple of new images from Jon Favreau‘s Iron Man 2 to accompany a massive report of their recent set visit. Two of the four images we’ve seen before, but the other two are new. One shows Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) looking down at a scale model of Stark Expo; the other image is of Downey Jr. on the set with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.
Along with the new images and set visit details, these three men also offered up some information on the project. Click the images to go large, or head on over to Marvel for all of the full-size images and read much more about their set visit!
Feige didn’t have too much to say, but he did reaffirm what we learned at Comic Con recently: War Machine is definitely in the film. He also admitted that S.H.I.E.L.D. organization will be showing up more this time around, which means we’ll likely see a bit more of Mr. Samuel L. Jackson.
When asked about the challenge of following-up on such a popular first movie, director Jon Favreau had a lot to say. He touched on the popular “Demon in a Bottle” storyline everyone wants to see, where he explained that they were doing it their own way and that one of the biggest things for them to maintain was the light-heartedness of the first film. He also spoke about the major reveal of Tony Stark declaring himself as Iron Man, and how that majorly sets the table for the sequel.
