A short time ago, someone was able to snap a photo of the cast of Joe Carnahan‘s (Smokin’ Aces) new TV show adaptation, The A-Team while on the set (Read: Super Geek Peek: New Images From “˜Green Hornet,’ “˜A-Team’ & More!). The image was decent, but it was far away and it looked like they were on break, so it was hard to go nutty over. Now the very first official image of the group together has been released, and you get a really strong idea of how the characters will look and how they’ve modernized some small things.
In the image is Bradley Cooper (The Hangover, Wedding Crashers) as Face; former UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as B.A. Baracus; Liam Neeson (Kingdom of Heaven, Taken) as Hannibal; and Sharlto Copley (District 9) as Murdoch.
Click on over to the other side to check out the brand new first image of the gang together, and for comparison’s sake, I’ve included a lovely little photo of the original cast above, so feel free to click and compare away.
The A-Team will be released on June 11, 2010.

This film should not be made.

Count me in among the audience for an updated A-Team. What I once regarded as 80s TV schlock I have come to realize was quite entertaining. My memories of watching the original A-Team are quite vivid, which means it stood the test of time for me, and the show was always lots of fun. I can see that van flying and bouncing. I wonder if one of the new A-team members will be former Blackwater? Will the new BA still be afraid of flying? Must stop thinking about this lest the theme music starts playing in my head.
