Amazon Studios has released a trailer for Gringo, an upcoming movie starring David Oyelowo (Selma, The Butler), Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road, Atomic Blonde), Joel Edgerton (Bright, Black Mass), Amanda Seyfried (Les Misérables, Mean Girls), Sharlto Copley (District 9, The A-Team), Hernán Mendoza (After Lucia, The Perfect Dictatorship), Thandie Newton (Westworld, Crash), Harry Treadaway (Honeymoon, The Lone Ranger), Alan Ruck (Ferris Beuller’s Day Off, Speed), and Kenneth Choi (The Wolf of Wall Street, Spider-Man: Homecoming). The film is directed by Joel’s brother Nash Edgerton (The Square), and written by Anthony Tambakis (Warrior, Jane Got A Gun) and Matthew Stone (Life, Intolerable Cruelty). Gringo follows a pharmaceutical executive who’s sent on a business trip to Mexico. Things do not go well. Not at all. | ‘Free Fire’ Trailer: Brie Larson In A Very Strange Mexican Standoff
Ben Wheatley has certainly been making a name for himself in the past few years. For those who may not know who he is, the filmmaker has previously directed Down Terrace and High-Rise. The latter, which starred Tom Hiddleston, was released earlier this year. And now a trailer for his latest feature, Free Fire, starring Brie Larson, Armie Hammer, Cillian Murphy, and Sharlto Copley has finally arrived. Check out the trailer below. | ‘Hardcore Henry’: Official Trailer For First-Person Action Movie Released
Back in November of 2014, we saw a preview for a crazy looking action movie titled Hardcore, which was to be shot entirely from the first person perspective and was seeking funding via Indiegogo. The movie eventually passed its $250,000 goal, and has since been in the making. Now the first official trailer for the movie, which has since been re-titled Hardcore Henry, has been released online. It’s directed by Ilya Naishuller, and stars Sharlto Copley, Danila Kozlovsky, Haley Bennett, Andrey Dementyev, Dasha Charusha, and Sveta Ustinova. | Watch PlayStation’s ‘Powers’ TV Pilot Online Now For Free
It’s been a long, strange trip to get Powers, the Brian Michael Bendis/Michael Avon Oeming comic book series, to the small screen, but the day has finally arrived. The first episode of Powers is now available for viewing for free on PlayStation Network for free to anyone with a PSN account, as well as online through PlayStation’s website. You can also watch the entire premiere episode in the video embedded here below. The entirety of the first season is free for PlayStation Plus members, with non-members paying $24.99 for HD and $17.99 for SD respectively for the full season. You can also pay $2.99 (HD) or $1.99 (SD) per episode, with the first 3 episodes being available today. New episodes will premiere each Tuesday for the rest of the season.

In the near future, Johannesburg is patrolled by a mechanized police force. The creator, Deon Wilson (Dev Patel), wants to take robotics to the next level by creating a sentient droid that can think and feel for itself. Enter Scout Unit 22 (Sharlto Copley), a banged-up police droid scheduled for disposal. Against orders from his boss, Michelle Bradley (Sigourney Weaver), Deon creates a firmware update that gives the damaged unit consciousness, turning the hardened police droid into a newborn child. Before Deon can nurture and enlighten his creation, a gang of criminals (Watkin Tudor Jones, Yolandi Visser, Jose Pablo Cantillo) steals the robot. In the hands of these wannabe gangsters, the droid – nicknamed Chappie – is molded and manipulated into becoming an “Indestructible Robot Gangster #1.”
