Will ‘Jurassic Park 4’ Be The Start Of A New Trilogy?

Jurassic Park

Word of a Jurassic Park IV has been around for a long time now. We’ve never seen it turn into any sort of a reality, but with how popular the movies have been, it’s an expected eventual chapter. At this very moment, there still is no official progress of the movie, but Jurassic Park III director Joe Johnston is saying that the movie is on the way, and that it could be a whole new trilogy.

While speaking to Box Office, Johnston was cautious about where rumors of Jurassic Park IV had originated, but once he cozied up to the topic and was set up with mention that there was no way that they could logically go back to that island, he decided to fill everyone in on where it all stood.

There is going to be a ‘Jurassic Park IV. And it’s going to be unlike anything you’ve seen. It breaks away from the first three “” it’s essentially the beginning of the second ‘Jurassic Park’ trilogy. It’s going to be done in a completely different way.

If they keep working “” and if audiences keep going to them “” there’s no reason why there wouldn’t be. We just want to make them justified in their own right. We don’t want to make sequel after sequel just because there’s a market for it. We want to tell different, interesting stories. You don’t want to just sell hamburger.

I love Jurassic Park, and the sequels were entertaining enough, though nowhere near as good. I could be up for more, but they would really have to do it right. We’ve heard rumors in the past of dinosaurs with weaponry on their backs and all of that stuff. No. The problem with the two sequels is that they were always trying to one up the last, and this was not working at all. If they reacquire the magic of humans interacting with dinosaurs that we saw in the first JP, then it would be amazing. But considering Johnston directed Jurassic Park III, I am ever so nervous about the 3D abomination they might birth.

So what do you think? Is there any way that this happens, and could they possibly do it right?

  2. I liked Jurrasic Park III better than Lost World. Compared to all the other movies being updated or reimagined, I’d easily go for another Jurrasic Park film. Trilogy though? Perhaps they simply take it one sequel at a time for now.

  4. Jurassic park = Epic
The Lost World = Great Worthy Sequel
Jurassic park 3 = Blew donkey balls

Jurassic park 4? I like dinosaur movies, and with all the new technology it could be great visually. I’d like to see a decent new unique story though.

No kids, No cheesey dialog, I’d want a much darker trilogy/sequel. Not blood and guts… but something different.

I’ll hold my opinion’s until i read the story. If the storys good, then sure ill spend my money on another Jurassic park, Or you know what?
If it isnt 100% not like Jurassic park 3 in the slightest ill see it anyways.

I want 1 thing in jurassic park 4, TYRANNOSAURUS REX! Fuck spino

  5. I have to agree with mostly everything John said, especially the part where Jurassic Park 3 blows donkey balls. Couldn’t agree more. At this point I like the idea of a Jurassic Park 4, but the bottom line is it must have a kick ass story, period. It should NOT be some 3D garbage bag of special effects. I think if they do a “reboot” of the franchise it could be very successful, much like Batman Begins or Star Trek. Like Joe Johnston is quoted as saying, something very different and not seen before. That sounds good to me. Johnston as director again is a downside for me though. He may not have had much to work with in JP3 but if the movie is supposedly something so different, than they really should be going with a different director. And yeah, no more spino please. And also, please bring back the original raptors. That means no feathers, no stupid glowing eyes, and no talking to each other. Lame.

I say the third island i wonder what it is it would be rather could for a jurassic under water because they did have dinousors under water in the Jurassic period and in science (im in advance) My teacher was talking about the mosquito in the first movie telling that if we did take the blood out of it maybe added a bone of an dinasour had all the equpment Jurassic park would come true (but i really dont want dinasours roaming around th U.s.a) but anyways really exited if there is going to be a jurrasic park IV
