Alien Anthology Blu-ray

It seems like everyone’s favorite killer aliens are back, but this time they are coming in high def!

The Alien Anthology will be released on Blu-ray on October 26, 2010 with all four films from the franchise: Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, and Alien Resurrection. The special features on this set are amazing and every film comes with their own bonus material. This set is a must-have for any science fiction fan or any fan of film in general.

This was one of the most ground-breaking series and I am so happy to see it coming to Blu-ray and I look forward to seeing Space Marines in high def.

There are two versions of the packaging currently available for pre-order: Alien Anthology Blu-ray regular packing or for a few more bucks there’s Alien Anthology Comicon (Egg Package) Blu-ray package.

See below for a detailed list of bonus features.

About

The ALIEN ANTHOLOGY is a truly unique home entertainment experience. For the first time ever, Fox has united the material from every home video release of the ALIEN saga including the 1991/1992 laserdisc releases, the 1999 “Legacy” release and 2003’s groundbreaking ALIEN QUADRILOGY release into one complete Blu-ray collection. The set also includes two versions of each film and over four hours of previously unreleased exclusive material such as original screentests of Sigourney Weaver prior to filming the original ALIEN, , unseen deleted scenes, thousands of still photographs from the Fox archives, the previously unseen original cut of “Wreckage and Rage: The Making of ALIEN3,” and much, much more.

  1. This would be exciting for a contest, but seriously, how many of us grew up watching these films? This is just old stuff being repackaged, because right around the corner we’ll have another Alien movie. It happens all the time – Rocky, Rambo, Terminator, Indiana Jones, Robocop; Studios make an “ultimate” box set and then a year later there’s another movie (thus another box set is lined up for down the road). ALL IN THE NAME OF PROFIT.

Besides, Blu-Ray hasn’t enhanced squat when it comes to enjoying a movie. Download everything, pay for nothing.
