The FREE MP3 song of the day over at Amazon today is “Alright (Live)” by King’s X.
Note, this freebie is only for today, Thursday November 18, until midnight PST.
Another note: FREE.
“Alright (Live)” is from the double live album Live Love In London, which is available now in MP3 format for $9.49, and comes with 19 songs, plus a downloadable PDF of the CD booklet.
The Live Love In London CD version is available now for $14.38; there’s also a Deluxe CD/DVD coming out on November 22, 2010, which is a 2-disc CD set, along with a live concert DVD.
Live Love In London was taped during the band’s live concert on January 22nd, 2009 at the Electric Ballroom in Camden, London.
Noteworthy songs on the album are “Black Flag,” “It’s Love,” “Over My Head,” and “Goldilox.”
For those of you not familiar with King’s X, they’re an American hard rock/metal band who debuted in 1988 with Out Of The Silent Planet and has released 12 studio albums in their career. Their most popular albums are their early records Gretchen Goes to Nebraska, Faith Hope Love, and King’s X. Amazingly, the trio has maintained the same line-up since its first release: Doug Pinnick (bass, vocals), Ty Tabor (guitar, vocals), and Jerry Gaskill (drums, vocals).
I’ve seen King’s X live several times over the years, and they’re always great, so I’ll definitely be picking up this new live album.
