“Merry Little Christmas” is anything but merry, as it is one of the most depressing Christmas episodes I’ve watched. Yet, at the same time, the episode is fantastic to watch due to the Hugh Laurie’s expert portrayal of Dr. House. Much like some of the other episode we’ve covered, I think “Merry Little Christmas” does a great job to show how truly depressing and lonely the holidays can be for many people, including Dr. House.
Official Description:
It is Christmas at Princeton-Plainsboro and Wilson has a present for House: he and Detective Tritter have struck a deal and House has three days to accept it. Cuddy receives a patient afflicted with dwarfism, who has a variety of symptoms and is recovering from a recently collapsed lung. Cuddy is eventually forced to make a difficult and potentially life-threatening choice between her patient and House’s well-being.
Join us tomorrow for a classic holiday episode of How I Met Your Mother and let us know what you thought of “Merry Little Christmas.”
