CBM (through a link through Italian website Badtaste.it) is reporting that C. Thomas Howell has been cast in Marc Webb’s Spider-Man reboot.
Apparently, Howell posted to his private Facebook page, “I have just sign the deal for new Spider-Man’s movie! I will start the work on January 25th […]”
No word yet on what role he’ll play or how much screen time he’ll get.
I’ll be honest, I had no real interest in this reboot… until now!
Yes, I said that with zero sarcasm. Howell is one of my favorite actors from the 80s (Ponyboy!), and I hope he makes a huge comeback. He most recently guest-starred on an episode of Psych from Season 5, One, Maybe Two, Ways Out.
Webb’s Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, and Rhys Ifans as the Lizard.
Okay, I too hope that his career gets a big boost from this. He’s been unappreciated for too long and has been doing pretty bad B movies recently. (War of the Worlds)
“Wolverines!!!”
