Universal Pictures’ upcoming fantasy retelling of the fabled tale of Snow White, titled Snow White and the Huntsman, is getting a lot of attention and some big stars are being lined up for potential roles.
It’s being reported that Viggo Mortensen has entered into negotiations to take on the role of the Hunstman, a character who’s always been a part of the fairy tale but who will be elevated to one of the primary characters for this particular telling. The story will revolve around Snow White and a Huntsman, who teaches her what he knows while protecting her from the dangers of the wood.
It’s also being reported that Universal has their eyes on Kristen Stewart, star of The Twilight Saga franchise, for the role of Snow White herself. Keep in mind this is just another name on the list of actresses the studio is looking at for Miss White. Sucker Punch actress Emily Browning has already tested for the part, and Riley Keough, Felicity Jones, and Alicia Vikander are all also being looked at.
Charlize Theron is another name that’s been linked to Snow White and the Huntsman for a while now. She’s still in talks — and seems to be the favorite — to play the role of an evil queen.

Please, Hollywood. No more Kristen Stewart.

Kristen does look white, but she just doesn’t bring it in the movies unlike the other actresses out there.
