After Deadpool made his movie debut in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, it was announced that he would also be getting his own spinoff movie with Ryan Reynolds returning as the Merc with a Mouth.
Since then some time has passed, Reynolds went over to DC Comics to star in Green Lantern, and Deadpool seemed to be far off on the horizon. Whether the movie is happening sooner or later still remains to be seen but now a director has been found, bringing fans one step closer to the movie they hope is delivered with full faithfulness to the deadly Marvel comic book character.
It’s been announced that Tim Miller, a visual effects expert making his feature film directing debut, has been hired to take on Deadpool for Marvel and 20th Century Fox. Miller has worked in the effects department on titles such as X-Men, The Grinch, Planet of the Apes, X-2, Night at the Museum, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.
At the moment, Reynolds is still expected to return for the movie and a script is currently being worked on by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

you have your facts mixed up. the Tim Miller that Fox hired is the one that owns Blur Studio, not the X-Men effects guy. look up the updated “HEAVY METAL” on IMDb, the correct Tim Miller is the one listed as one of the directors of that anthology.
