Because this is something the world is really clamoring for.
Bloody Disgusting is reporting that, yes, a fourth film in The Grudge franchise is heading our way. The film is being backed by the team of Ghost House Pictures and Mandate, and at this point, this is all we really know about this project.
The film will mark the eighth installment in the true-blue Grudge franchise including the original pictures, a number far too large for this mediocre collection of movies.
Personally, while I’m obviously not a huge fan of these films, the original few are really solid, and make for fine bits of horror. Overall, it’s been a weak franchise since making the jump to the States, making this news hard to get stoked for. I’m a big horror guy, but these are the antithesis of what good horror truly is.

Don’t group the American ones with the Japanese ones (AKA don’t be a retard).
Not seen the third one, so it really doesn’t matter if they are making another or not. There was going to be a third Japanese one, and I am still disappointed that it never happened.

the last Grudge film just… wasn’t good. but hey, i like the series, somewhat. sure, make it, i might rent it from redbox.
