Despite what you may or may not think of actress Anne Hathaway, one thing is pretty much set in stone. The woman has a great set of pipes.
Given her experience as a musical artist through various songs in various films in her canon, Hathaway has gone on to get the wheels moving on a still-gestating biopic on the life of Judy Garland, a film that she is still hoping to get made one of these days. And that’s not all apparently. Broadway World is reporting that Hathaway is set to star in the upcoming musical Les Miserables.
She is apparently in the running with names like Amy Adams and Rebecca Hall for the role of Fantine, and makes the film a whole lot more intriguing. The movie will star Hugh Jackman, and while I’m, sadly, not all that familiar with the iconic musical, I do have a ton of expectations for this project. Tom Hooper is directing Les Miserables, which makes this as much of a must-see film as a project can be. Hope these expectations aren’t too high.
