Aliens appear to be the new cinematic flavor of the week.
Be it invasion pictures like Battle: LA or simply films based in a world where aliens exist like District 9, extraterrestrials are a hot commodity in the film world as of this moment. And now it’s Timur Bekmambetov‘s turn. The producer behind the upcoming alien invasion pic The Darkest Hour has just seen a new motion poster for the film released, and I must say, even as a motion poster, it’s kind of bland.
Check it out here below.
The film follows a group of friends who must figure out how to survive an alien attack when the aliens are invisible. The cast includes Emile Hirsch, Max Minghella and Olivia Thirlby, and looks like a rather uninteresting invasion film. The trailer was quite underwhelming, and while it does seem to have the Bekmambetov stamp, it does not at all look like a thrilling bit of action like something like Wanted.
