While the best television shows often die an early death, it appears as though one of the best is getting a second chance at life.

As talk continues to circulate around a possible film based on Arrested Development, it looks as though the TV series is coming back, as according to EW, producers of the series are in talks with the likes of Showtime and Netflix to bring back the show for a “limited number of original episodes.”

Yes, this would play as a lead-in to the film, and honestly, I think this is really the only way a film based in this universe could work. For all intents and purposes, outside of the hipster crowd, this show is still very much an unknown commodity, and through something like this, the characters could not only be given an update, but will also be introduced to the world in general. I love this idea, so while I will believe it when I see it, my fingers are definitely crossed.
