I must say I am still quite amazed at how well Chris Roberson mimics the style of the original writings that Michael Moorcock began producing fifty years ago.

As universes collapse in upon one another, our travelers must carefully traverse these dangerous planes and occasionally do battle with the forces of Chaos and Law. The places where Law abides are cold and stagnant, whereas the Chaos-riddled areas are littered with twisted creatures and buildings. Elric and Hawkmoon do battle with the enraged and mutated denizens of their Chaos laden world while Corum and Eric must fend off the forces of Law. They are the only champions willing and able to try to save the worlds on which they find themselves…and to do so they must reach the eternal city called Tanelorn.

I cannot recommend this series enough, even more so after seeing the way Francesco Biagini illustrated Stormbringer, the vorpal sword of Elric of Melnibone. The blue energies on the blade were a nice touch. I’m really passionate about this series, the longevity of this set of characters is amazing. It’s not just about the comics, but the entire franchise of The Eternal Champion. It has been a fantasy mainstay for decades and deserves the excellent attention it is receiving from the folks at BOOM! Studios. Do your part to ensure it stays for a long time…buy this series!
