It’s being reported that Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson are now in final negotiations to star in The Conjuring, the upcoming supernatural thriller from Saw director James Wan.
The movie follows a husband and wife team who dabble in psychic investigations and demonology. The pair find themselves in the middle of a Rhode Island farmhouse filled with ghosts, and a more terrifying situation than they could have ever imagined.
The story is based on the real life accounts of the Perron family and paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren in the ’70s that has since been documented by the eldest Perron daughter in volume 1 of House of Darkness House of Light.
The project also re-teams Wilson and Wan, who worked together on the surprise hit horror title Insidious.
The Conjuring is written by Chad and Carey Hayes, and is looking to begin production in March.
