Netflix has released an official trailer for In the Tall Grass, an adaptation of the novella of the same name written by father and son authors Stephen King and Joe Hill which was first published in Esquire magazine back in 2012. The project was announced in May of last year.
The adaptation is directed by Vincenzo Natali (Cube, Splice) and stars Patrick Wilson (Watchmen, The Conjuring), Laysla De Oliveira (The Gifted, iZombie), Rachel Wilson (The Glass House, Saw 3D: The Final Chapter), Avery Whitted (The Vanishing of Sidney Hall), Harrison Gilbertson (Need for Speed, Upgrade), and Will Buie Jr. (Gifted, Bunk’d).

SYNOPSIS:
Based on the novella by Stephen King and Joe Hill, when siblings Becky and Cal hear the cries of a young boy lost within a field of tall grass, they venture in to rescue him, only to become ensnared themselves by a sinister force that quickly disorients and separates them. Cut off from the world and unable to escape the field’s tightening grip, they soon discover that the only thing worse than getting lost is being found. Written and directed by Vincenzo Natali.
In the Tall Grass is set to arrive on Netflix on October 4th.
