Way to possibly spoil something, Variety.
First off, the straight news. The outlet is reporting that Jon Bernthal, Shane on AMC’s The Walking Dead, is in early talks to join TNT’s upcoming drama, L.A. Noir, backed by none other than Frank Darabont, as was reported recently.
Now, reports surfaced a while back of a star on Darabont’s former show wanting to opt out of his contract with AMC, in support of Darabont, and along with Shane’s character arc in the book series, one would have to assume that come the finale of this season, or some point in season 3, Shane will likely be killed off. Sure, Bernthal could do both shows, but that seems unlikely.
What do you guys think? Personally, I really like Bernthal as an actor, and think that he would be one hell of an addition to a series like Noir. Here’s to hoping.

Variety didnt give anything away! Shane is killed by carl in like the third issue of the comic. Everyone knows its coming, and its been building to it the whole season.

It probably means he’s going to go the way of the comic series

Um…I don’t read Variety, but I do read “Geeks of Doom,” so…way to spoil something.

Sadly, Shane’ll be dead before the closing credits of Season 2.

I do like him as an actor but as a huge fan of the books I think his demise is near. That being said I think he came across as a much stronger character in the show than the books so it will suck for him to leave.
