Right now, Amazon is selling the Kindle edition of Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game by Michael Lewis for only 25 cents! The book is what the Academy Award-nominated Moneyball film (starring Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill, both of whom got Oscar nods for their roles) is based on.
The book is also available in paperback for $9.72 and paperback for $15.82. NOTE – There’s another listing for a Kindle edition, but the price is much higher. Be sure to click HERE for the 25-cent version released in August 15, 2011 (as far as I can tell, the only difference between versions is the updated cover that shows Brad Pitt and boasts that the book was made into a movie starring Pitt).
Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game is the true story of how Oakland Athletics general manager Billy Beane (played by Pitt in the film) was faced with trying to win Major League Baseball games a very small budget (basically the smallest in the league). Michael Lewis’s book shows how Beane used untraditional methods to put together his baseball team and go on to surprising wins.
I don’t see any mention as to when this 25-cent deal expires, so for a quarter, definitely grab this ebook. The film Moneyball is out now on Blu-ray, 2-Disc Blu-ray, DVD, and Instant Video.
NOTE – you don’t actually need a Kindle device to read these ebooks. Books can be read on a Kindle or one of Amazon’s free reading apps for iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows PC, Mac, Blackberry, and Windows Phone 7. Also, you can gift Kindle books and set your gift to be delivered whenever you want to anyone with an email address.
