Two more actors have been added to the cast of Randy Miller‘s The Drummer, a biopic of the late Beach Boys drummer Dennis Wilson with The Dark Knight‘s Aaron Eckhart starring as the late musician.

Variety reports that Let Me In‘s Chloe Moretz, who’ll be seen next in Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows, is in talks to star as Wilson’s daughter, Jennifer. Also on board is Rupert Grint, best known for his role as Harry Potter’s red-headed best friend Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter film franchise, will take the role of William Morris, a “mail-room intern who befriended the musician in the last few years of his life.”

As previously reported, Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air) will portray Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie, with whom Wilson had a relationship from 1979 to 1981. McVie penned the song “Hold Me” (which she also sang lead on), which appeared on Fleetwood Mac’s 1982 album Mirage, about her tumultuous relationship with Wilson.

Wilson, who struggled with alcohol addiction, drowned in 1983 at the age of 39 at Marina Del Rey, Los Angeles, where he had gone diving, while intoxicated, in search of items he’d thrown overboard there from his yacht three years prior.

Filming on The Drummer is scheduled to begin on June 15, 2012 and will focus on the last six years of Wilson’s life.
