Admittedly I was never a fan of Robert Pattinson to begin with. For one thing his pasty sparkly complexion ruined the reputation of the cinematic vampire. But after watching the teaser for David Cronenberg‘s Cosmopolis, I was very interested in seeing how he changed from swooning bloodsucker to eccentric billionaire looking for a simple hair cut. Now two full trailers have shown that he is going to silence all the haters with his dark and twisted performance. Check it out after the jump.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen something like this from David Cronenberg, who has been steering clear of these odd and twisted movies. So directing Cosmopolis is a very welcomed return.

The film also stars Sarah Gadon, Kevin Durand, Jay Baruchel, Samantha Morton, Juliette Binoche, Paul Giamatti, and Mathieu Amalric. Cosmopolis will premiere next month at the Cannes Film Festival.
