Some of the best tourist stops in Hollywood aren’t the Walk of Fame, Madame Tussauds’ Wax Museum, or the Hollywood sign itself, it’s also Ripley’s Believe It or Not and Guinness World Records. With tourist stops already covered by Ben Stiller’s Night at the Museum and a Ripley’s Believe it or Not film already being put into the works, no one has taken it upon themselves to make a Guinness World Records movie, until now.
Deadline reports that Warner Bros. is putting a movie together based on the Guinness World Records with The Office writer Danny Chun hired to write the movie, which will have some sort of action spin to it.
Of course it will be difficult to build a movie based on record-breaking achievements; in fact, the report mentions that “it’s going to take some work to find a narrative arc.” But since the film is based on that sort of philosophy, Warner Bros. might be on to something. They will be the first to make a movie based on that organization, though I see this film being parallel to that of Fox’s Night at the Museum and Paramount’s Ripley’s Believe It or Not.

What a stupid idea. I mean seriously? How can you do a movie based on Guiness world records? A TV series, maybe(which I’d love to see,but for some reason they don’t seem to be doing, apart from ITV2’s clip show) but a movie of it will just suck.
