Las Vegas and Bangkok aren’t the only places with an ample supply of booze and hookers. Tijuana also has these debaucherous amenities readily available for those who don’t want to spend too much on alcohol and sex, and that’s where the Wolf Pack will be heading to in The Hangover Part III.
The Film Stage (via Toronto Sun and Las Vegas Sun) has reported that while the film will be shot in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, the cast and crew will eventually head south of the border. The site also confirms that the story will focus on Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms trying to break Zach Galifianakis out of a mental institution.
Screenplay writer Craig Mazin, who also wrote the second installment, has been brought in to write the script for the third film. Based on the plot alone, it feels like Mazin is breathing new life into the franchise; especially after The Hangover Part II was criticized for being too much like the first movie.
I still hope that Mazin can find a way to ensure that there are no more stories to explore. One thing that I have been reading is that Mazin’s script will have a majority of the characters from The Hangover die. If this is true, then it would be a nice send off for the Wolf Pack. In fact, it may the perfect way to say good-bye to the characters of The Hangover.
Todd Phillips returns as director for The Hangover Part III, which will open in theaters on May 24, 2013.
