Jonah Hill once was considered a funny man, having been in films like Superbad and Knocked Up, but now the actor has taken a shift in his career, appearing in films like Moneyball. He will continue that shift by returning to the set of Quentin Tarantino‘s Django Unchained.
Hill was originally attached to appear in the film, but had obligations for another project. Now that his schedule is clear, Deadline is reporting that he is coming back to shoot a role in the film, just not the one he was originally set up for.
After Hill was forced to give up the role of Scotty, the part was offered to Sacha Baron Cohen However, Cohen had to drop out due to scheduling issues. Now there is no confirmation that Hill would take the role he was originally offered, but Hill is coming back. We just don’t know in what capacity.
Filming is suppose to be near completion, so I wonder how much of Hill’s role will play a huge factor in the film. As if it really matters, because Hill has already proven himself to be an actor perfectly capable to taking on any role.
So if you haven’t already done so, check out the domestic and international trailers for Django Unchained.
Directed by Quentin Tarantino, Django Unchained stars Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington, Samuel L. Jackson,, and more. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 25.
