Would you be interested in watching a TV based on the classic Halloween tale, Sleepy Hollow? If so, you may be in luck.
Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, the writing duo who have worked on Transformers, Star Trek, and many other hit projects, are currently shopping a pitch for one such TV series, with Len Wiseman (Total Recall, Underworld) also attached to direct. Though it’s not exactly as it sounds. Then again, it never is.
The show is being pitched as a modern-day supernatural thriller take on the tale of Sleepy Hollow, with Ichabod Crane teaming up with a woman who’s the town of Sleepy Hollow’s sheriff to try and solve the mysteries that surround the town and the ongoing battle between good and evil taking place there.
Kurtzman, Orci, and Wiseman have worked together to bring a TV show to life before, with the reboot of Hawaii Five-O.
Personally, the whole “modern-day” thing completely turns me off. I get plenty of that in real life and would much rather be whisked off to the Sleepy Hollow we all have in our brains. Still, it will be interesting to see if someone buys the pitch and what they come up with.
Would you watch a Sleepy Hollow TV series?

Only if it features Ichabod Crane getting involved because his father has gone missing or his father was never around. That Ichabod Crane would be in line with the other reboots from this team and its exactly what we expect from them!
