The voice cast for Disney’s video game adventure movie, Wreck-It Ralph, has expanded exponentially, and in a very good way.
The movie, which already features John C. Reilly in the lead as Ralph, a video game bad guy who decides he wants to be the hero, as well as Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, and Jane Lynch, will now tout an even more impressive list of names.
Walt Disney Animation Studio has announced the additions of Alan Tudyk (Firefly/Serenity, Tucker and Dale vs. Evil), Mindy Kaling (The Office, The 40-Year-Old Virgin), and Ed O’Neill (Modern Family, Married With Children) to the cast, as well as many others.
Also lending their voices will be Dennis Haysbert (24, Major League), Adam Carolla (Drawn Together, The Adam Carolla Show), Horatio Sanz (Saturday Night Live, Tomcats), Edie McClurg (Ferris Bueller’s Day Off), Roger Craig Smith (The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes), Rachael Harris (The Hangover), and Stefanie Scott (A.N.T. Farm).
Tudyk will be playing King Candy, the ruler in a candy-coated racing game called Sugar Rush. Kaling will voice a racer and Sarah Silverman’s nemesis, Taffyta Muttonfudge. Ed O’Neill plays the owner of Litwak’s Family Fun Center & Arcade, Mr. Litwak.
Other newly announced cast includes Sugar Rush security Wynchel (Carolla) and Duncan (Sanz); Nicelanders Mary (McClurg) and Deanna (Harris), who live inside the game Fix-It Felix, Jr.; A general from the game Hero’s Duty (Haysbert); Sonic the Hedgehog (Craig Smith, who also voiced Ezio in the Assassin’s Creed franchise); Moppet Girl (Scott), a young arcade enthusiast; and Ryu, Ken, and M. Bison from Street Fighter (with their usual voices, Kyle Hebert, Reuben Langdon, and Gerald C. Rivers).
Wreck-It Ralph hits theaters on November 2, 2012.
