The trailer for The To Do List opens with Aubrey Plaza sarcastically pitching that the film is not like any ordinary rom-com that generally finds an ensemble cast playing through a stale plot. A few seconds later into the trailer and we start to see that she isn’t lying at all. The first red band trailer for Maggie Carey‘s The To Do List has arrived online and it has a chance to be one of the best comedies of 2013. So check out the NSFW red band trailer below.
Carey may not be a household name, but you may have seen her works on NBC’s Parks and Recreation and Funny or Die. The To Do List focuses on Brandy Klark (Aubrey Plaza), A-Type personality high school senior creating a list of risqué acts that she missed out on and intends to complete before she sets off for college.
But this film won’t be fueled just by Plaza’s comedy alone, she has a great supporting cast which includes the likes of Alia Shawkat, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Donald Glover, Andy Samberg, Bill Hader, Rachel Bilson, Scott Porter, Johnny Simmons, Sarah Steele, Connie Britton, and Clark Gregg. There are just so many performances I cannot wait to see, and I hope everyone gets their chance to show their stuff. Having played so many supporting roles in the past, Plaza was able to show what she can do as a lead in Safety Not Guaranteed, and there is no doubt that she can do it all over again in The To Do List.
Thanks to The Film Stage for providing the embed for the trailer.
CBS Films plans to release The To Do List on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2013. That seems like a very appropriate date to release a film like this. So will you check it out?
